About our Program:
We encourage imaginative play and child-led learning through the Montessori method. We promote experiential learning and outdoor play utilizing sand, gardening, the playground, and grassy areas. We introduce literacy, early phonics, numbers, and letters in a multi-age (18 months - 3 years) classroom. We practice motor skills, explore life cycles, and nourish a spiritual sense of wonder and respect for our natural world and its inhabitants. We are all passionate about providing a safe setting that ensures peace, empathy, and compassion. Respect is modeled, taught, and practiced. We strongly believe that anyone from all backgrounds of life can come together in a supportive, warm, and open-minded community to create a beautiful world.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 12:30 Part-Time
Compensation: $18 - $20/hour.
Additional Info: Role to begin January 2022. Option for full-time employment in Fall of 2022

Your responsibilities would include:
- Prepare activities and lessons for the day, monitor children as they work and play
- Clean the classroom daily after students leave for the day.
- Be familiar with the basic needs of a child and should be able to care for them. Assist in facilitating toileting, and in the conduct of class activities.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a background in education and enjoys working with students ages 1 1/2 - 3 years old
- Is able to ensure the physical and emotional safety and well-being of the students
- Has a working knowledge of the elementary content in all subject areas
- Is able to model integrity, curiosity, and respect
- Is excellent at interacting with children, families, in a warm, compassionate, empathetic, and confident manner
Requirements:
- Associates/Bachelor’s Degree Early Education (preferred)
- American Montessori Society Infant/Toddler Credential (Preferred)
- Montessori classroom experience (preferred)
- 3-5 years experience working in a classroom (preferred)
- 3 References
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
